* The Whole 9 Months *

Here are the things I learned while being pregnant and working:
1. You still have to work.
Granted, some people will give you a break. But, when your baby bump is not that obvious (like me) and there are just not enough people to go around, you still have to work just like everyone else.
2. You are still an HO.
Carrying a lil baby in you is NOT a reason to slack.
3. You will get tired, extra fast.
So, ask for help.
4. Get some rest.
Find a chair and sit down...and get those discharges done. Seriously, do NOT be a lazy bump; people will hate you for that.
5. Be helpful, as much as you can.
Try to be helpful, do anything that you can. People will really, really appreciate it. In return, they will pray for good things for you.
4. Remember your baby.
Sure, you will not really have time to count that 10 kicks and you will be crapping your way through that fetal kick chart (ehem!) But, remember your baby. Just make sure the lil kid actually kicked.
5. You will be hormonal.
YES. Some people will annoy the hell out of you (for no apparent reasons, at times) and you will feel the need to shout some times...and it is okay. Just keep calm and let it all out at home.
6. Just rest.
During your off day, just be yourself and rest.
7. Pray.
A LOT.
8. Eat.
Take some time out and eat something; even if it is just a bun with a bottle of Ribena.
All in all, being pregnant is not a privilege, it is a challenge. It does not mean I get to hang around and do nothing.
What really motivates me when I am super tired and while my hips were killing me while I walk to the lab is the thought that this is what I want my child to learn; responsibility and humanity.
