"Bukannya senang nak jadi doktor ni." - one of my surgical HOD's favourite sentence.

And I agree, it is never easy. The best part is that it never gets easy.

They say a good doctor sees the patient as a whole; they will consider all aspects while treating a patient. When you are a doctor, that is what we are always trying to do. But, of course, none of us are perfect.

But, what really makes a bad doctor?

I think it is ignorance; not learning from mistakes and the refusal to make themselves better. But, what is the cause for this? Maybe they had a bad experience or maybe they just lost hope. After all, the world almost always forgets that doctors are humans too. Some of them think of as doctors as a resource that has to be used efficiently.

When doctors complain or just express their feelings, the public will go into an outrage. Doctors should not complain! They should work and make everyone better! They should just work work work for the public! They are, after all, sworn to serve the community. Our taxes make us deserve your service.

Everyone has a dream. So, peeps, let's remember our dreams.

When our boss or our patients or our colleagues get us down, remember the things that made us go on during those crazy hours in the wee mornings of our final exams :P

Remember that we are humans and we have a right to be one.
