* Mother & Daughter *

^[ the day Yue returned to Malaysia to give birth a.k.a the day Yue flew first class...hehe ]^

On this day, last year, I received a very interesting phone call;
"Naneen~ Yue dah nak bersalin ni! Doakan..."
(That's Yue for you! Haha~ yes, she actually called me while she was on her way to the maternal clinical to give birth.)

Everything went well since that phone call and Yue was gifted with a beautiful daughter she named Balqis.

It has been one year since the day my dear friend became a mother. I believe it has been the most memorable year.

Living with a mother has made me realize that your birthday is not just about you; it is about your mother, too. It is the day your mother fought for her life, for you. A birthday is really Life's way to remind you of that amazing woman who is your mother; who is with you on the first day of your life and who witnessed you as you took your first breath.

Mother is a verb, not a noun.

Happy birthday, Balqis bt Mohd Sabri! May you grow to be an amazing, strong and brilliant woman; like your mother.
