* The Expert *
(not me)
If words can make you an expert, then, women are complaining experts. They complain about everything; the weather, the cars, the roads...they complain when you're late and they complain when you're early. Even when you can make it in time, they will complain about the manner of your arrival. Seriously. Us women can find every little detail frustrating and needing a good fix. That is what makes us human...and not men. Haha
Actually, I hate it when someone arrives late. But, when that particularly late person is your own teacher, I do not really mind. Remember the story of Nabi Musa & Nabi Khidir? When Nabi Musa asked Nabi Hidir to teach him, Nabi Khidir only asked him not to ask why.
I think there are a lot of lessons to be learned from this amazingly simple story. When you are learning from a teacher, it means that you put your trust in him. Which means, that if he teaches you wrongly, he is the one who has to answer in front of God on Judgement Day. By trusting him, it means that you cannot question him. When he tells you to do something, you have to believe that it is for the best. After all, he is the one who is teaching you and has more knowledge, right?
During learning, we need to give the teacher the benefit of doubt (husnu zhon la kata orang). Which means, if he ever lets you down or do something that you think is unethical or wrong, you have to believe that there is a reason and the reason can be accepted as a good one. If your teacher, for example, arrives late. You cannot complain and start whining about how he is always like this. You have to remember, that the road to achieving a simple knowledge is never short and straight. Rather, it is a long winding road.
We must also learn to forgive his deficiencies. It is a known fact that no one is perfect, right? Try to remember all the good things and forgive all the bad ones. You have no right to spread ill thoughts and words about your teacher. Seriously. But, sometime, since we are human, we tend to forget. During that time of forgetfulness, all we have to remember is to apologize :)
