* Are You Nuts? *
(perfectly normal to be abnormal)
So you think you're perfectly normal. Then you wake up in the morning and put on your favourite jeans, your housemate comes along and exclaimed, "What are you wearing?!" Haha...there you go! And you thought jeans are perfeclty acceptable in a world where skirts and baju kurungs rule. Heh.
That story is not about you and it is not about me. Rather, that story is about us and who we are. Normal...what's that? Of course, everyone has their own definition of that particular word. But, not everyone realize that their definition is not the only right definition to it. You have a group of people who think that going shopping for 6-hours is perfectly normal and you have another group who thinks that spending about 1 hour in the toilet is perfectly acceptable.
Since we are always following someone, is doing what other people do normal? Or is it the opposite? When we are all unique and have equally eccentric habits, I wonder if we are ever normal. Haha...now, now...I know we are not getting anywhere. For me, normal is quite easy. You are normal as long as you know where your feet are and your head is. Which means, as long as you believe in something and you hold onto it, you are perfectly normal in my life. Because I know that people are forever searching for something to believe in. But, not all of us are blessed to actually see the path that are laid on our feet. Therefore, everrytime you stand, look around you; do you know where you actually are? When you look into the mirror, can you recognize that person staring back at you?
Normal is not about being accepted, though. It is just about believing in yourself. For example, if you cannot answer a questionnaire because all the options do not represent you...it is not you who is abnormal. Rather, just believe that you are normal and all the other people are not ;) Let them think you abnormal or eccentric. As long as you don't have any problem with yourself and the ones you love, you are perfectly fine.
